Reynoldsburg Selects New Gas Aggregation Provider

The City of Reynoldsburg is pleased to announce that they have chosen Volunteer Energy Services, Inc. (Volunteer) as the program’s supplier for a two-year period ending with the May 2019 billing cycle. The rate from Volunteer Energy is an 8% discount off of the Columbia Gas of Ohio SCO rate adder. The Standard Choice Offer (SCO) is a monthly variable rate based on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) month-end settlement, plus a retail price adjustment (adder) of $0.145 per Ccf. Therefore, the Program rate for natural gas will be NYMEX month-end settlement plus $0.1334 per Ccf for the June 2017 through March 2018 billing cycles. This rate guarantees that program participants are saving against the Columbia Gas Standard Choice Offer.

Both gas and electric aggregation programs were approved by Reynoldsburg voters in November 2001. Volunteer recently won a competitive bidding process and will be the supplier to the City’s Gas Aggregation Program. This program is an option and there is no fee to enroll in the program. If at any time you are unsatisfied with the program, you can cancel with no early termination fee.

Residents and small commercial customers can expect a letter from Volunteer Energy Services, Inc. (Volunteer) to arrive on or about May 5th, 2017. The letter will explain the rate, terms and conditions of the offer.

The City is pleased to have made this program option available, but asks that you do not call the City offices. Residents with any questions should call Volunteer directly at 1-800-977-8374 Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
