Resumes Requested For Board and Commission Openings

The City of Reynoldsburg is seeking individuals to serve on two different boards/commissions.  This is an unpaid appointment that allows for an individual to serve their community.  Interested candidates should submit their resume and letter of interest to Mayor Joe Begeny, 7232 E. PLANNING COMMISSION – one open position

Planning Commission is an appointed position by the Mayor, and shall have the power to hear applications for zoning district changes, review zoning regulation changes, review plats and subdivision regulations, and to exercise such other powers, duties, and functions as provided for by Council. The Planning Commission shall assist the Director of Development or other City officials with drafting, reviewing, and creating policies, and plans for the betterment of the City of Reynoldsburg.  

This position will meet at Council chambers at least once per month. Commission members whenever possible should have a background in city planning, law, finance, real estate, community development, architecture, civil engineering, or related field. Each appointed commissioners shall be a resident of the City of Reynoldsburg, and shall serve for a three-year term of office. 

BOARD OF ZONING AND BUILDING APPEALS  - three open positions 

BZBA is an appointed position by the Mayor, and shall have the power to hear and decide appeals for exceptions to and variances in, the application of resolutions, ordinances, regulations, measures and orders of administrative officials or agencies governing zoning, building, property maintenance, and housing in the City. A BZBA Board member shall assist the Director of Development or other City officials with drafting, reviewing, and creating policies, and plans for the betterment of the City of Reynoldsburg.
