Duties and Responsibilites

• Responsible for the preparation and implementation of the Comprehensive Plan for the City and subsequent plan amendments for council approval including the preliminary and final plan processes (see Preliminary and Final Plat applications).
• May make such recommendations relative short and long term planning issues and to the zoning or rezoning of the City to the Council as the Commission believes to be in the best interest of the City (see Rezoning application).
