Adaptive Sports

Our Program
The Superhero Adaptive Sports program provides recreational opportunities for youth and young adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. This program was established in April of 2014 as our parks and recreation department strives to be an all-inclusive platform, reaching our entire community. Our participants disabilities range from autism/Asperger’s, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. Whether it be through participation, advocacy or coaching, we encourage everyone to get involved!

Spring Superhero Soccer

Spring 2018 Schedule

Date/Time: Registration is the months of January and February for Spring 2018 Season.
Ages: 5-20 years
Where: Civic Park, 6800 Daugherty Drive
Fee (Resident/Non-Resident): $20/$20 Each participant will get a shirt and a medal
Session #: 3013.146

Typically Superhero Soccer will run one or two nights during the week and on Saturday.  Practices will take place after 6:00pm and games could take place at various times on Saturdays.  More detailed information will be communicated after the registration deadline. 

 

Summer Superhero Baseball

Date/Time: Registration is the months of March and April for the Summer 2018 Season.
Ages: 5-20 years
Where: JFK Park, 7232 East Main Street
Fee (Resident/Non-Resident): $20/$20 Each participant will get a shirt and a medal
Session #: 3023.247

Superhero Baseball will run one night on a week day to be announced.  More detailed information will be communicated after the registration deadline.  The program will most likely start in June and take place after 6:00pm.

Fall Superhero Flag Football
