The Senior Citizens of Reynoldsburg (SCOR) was founded in 1971 with a group of 25 people. By the time they had a permanent home at 1520 Davidson Drive in August 1988, they numbered 400. Now the membership is 1800 active members. SCOR may change officers and members, but its intent has not changed… provide educational activities and maintain a comfortable place to socialize, make new friends and create memories.

There are exercise classes every day and a small exercise room available for members. There are classes for dancing, yoga, art, stained glass and tai chi. We have card games, mahjongg, tripoley, potlucks and speakers. There is a health monitoring system at SCOR so that you can monitor your blood pressure, weight and pulse. We have regular hearing screenings, podiatry visits, blood pressure checks and yearly flu shoots, as well as tax preparation. SCOR has an extensive travel program and features day trips around Columbus and Ohio. Several times a year there are extended trips outside the state or outside the country.

The Senior staff, the Parks and Recreation Department, the SCOR Board Members and the individual efforts of all the members have created a wonderful place for the Senior Citizens of Reynoldsburg to call “A home away from home”.

You must be 55 years young to join and the cost is $15 per year for Reynoldsburg residents and $20 per year for all others. The membership money has paid for many improvements at SCOR, nametags and monthly newsletters for the members. Continued growth has created an exciting environment with wonderful activities and tremendous participation.

  • Located in Huber Park
  • Programming available throughout the year.
