Bill started with the division of police in 1994 as a reserve police officer after graduating from the Columbus State Community College law enforcement program with an associate’s degree and peace officer certification. He continued his education earning a bachelor’s degree from Ohio Dominican University. Bill was hired as a full time police officer in 1995 and served in assignments as a detective, school resource officer and patrol sergeant before being promoted to lieutenant in April of 2016. He is a veteran of the United States Army and is married with two children. He is currently the Operations Bureau Commander over the uniformed patrol division.
